A strange smell inside the home can be surprisingly difficult to identify. Sometimes the source is obvious, such as food left in the kitchen or something that needs to be cleaned. Other times, an unusual odor seems to come from nowhere, leaving homeowners wondering where it could possibly be coming from.
That was exactly what happened to one homeowner who began noticing a strong smell inside his house. At first, he thought it was probably a temporary issue. He checked the kitchen, garbage cans, drains, and other common areas, but nothing seemed to explain the odor.
As the days passed, however, the smell became harder to ignore.
The Smell Wouldn’t Go Away
The homeowner eventually noticed that the odor seemed to be strongest in one particular part of the house. It appeared to be coming from an area near the wall.
He initially considered several possibilities. There could have been a plumbing problem, moisture trapped somewhere, or even an animal that had somehow entered an inaccessible space.
